I.Passenger Services - Notice for Passengers- Luggage Check in Guide
1. Check in luggage
The weight of checked baggage cannot exceed 50 kilograms per piece, and the volume is 40 × 60 ×100 centimeters. The free baggage allowance for each passenger (including checked in and self care luggage) is 40 kilograms for first class passengers holding adults or children, 30 kilograms for business class passengers, and 20 kilograms for economy class passengers. Passengers holding baby tickets do not have free baggage allowance.
Note: The volume limit for checked in and carry on luggage by some airlines differentiated regulations is subject to the corresponding airline requirements!
2. Liquid items
Carry a small amount of personal travel cosmetics with you, and each type of cosmetics is limited to one piece. The container volume should not exceed 100 milliliters, which refers to the size of the container containing cosmetics not exceeding 100 milliliters, rather than the amount of substances in the container. Please pay special attention.
3. Excess luggage
If your checked baggage exceeds the free baggage allowance specified in the ticket, you must pay an excess baggage fee and fill out an excess baggage ticket. The rate for excess baggage on domestic flights is calculated at 1.5% of the full economy class ticket price per kilogram (non discounted ticket price). Some differentiated airlines have different regulations, please refer to the actual requirements of the airline. The rate and calculation method for excess baggage on international flights shall be handled in accordance with the regulations of each airline.
4. Handling of items that cannot be carried with you
When checking in, you should check in items that cannot be carried with you. If it is seized during security checks due to not being checked in, you can choose to make up for it, store it, or abandon it according to the boarding time.
5. Exempt luggage
When a passenger wishes to check in luggage that is not suitable for transportation or whose transportation responsibility is unclear, the airline will, on the premise of exempting transportation compensation liability, hang an exemption baggage tag on the checked luggage and require the passenger to sign and confirm the exemption clause.
6. Items that cannot be carried with you, but can be checked in
Professional knives and cosmetics, such as fruit knives, shavers, surgical knives, etc., other than regulated knives.
7. Prohibited items to be carried or checked in
Passengers are prohibited from carrying firearms (including various simulation toy guns, miniature radiators, and various types of aggressive weapons), ammunition, military equipment, police equipment, explosives, flammable and explosive materials, highly toxic materials, radioactive materials, corrosive materials, dangerous solutions, and other prohibited items on board the plane or checked in luggage or cargo. Any person carrying the above-mentioned items shall be immediately handed over to the public security organs for processing upon discovery.
8. Regulations on Lighters and Matches
On April 7th, 2008, the Civil Aviation Administration of China issued a notice prohibiting passengers from carrying lighters and matches with them on civil aviation flights, and also prohibiting them from being checked in their checked luggage
9. Restrict the types of liquid items carried with you
Liquid drinks: such as mineral water, tea, carbonated drinks, milk, yogurt, fruit juice, etc
Toilet and cosmetics: such as toothpaste, shampoo, bath gel, skin lotion, shaving foam
Gel products: shaping water, gel water, etc
Medications: such as eye drops, oral or topical liquids, sprays, etc
Liquid food: sweet noodle sauce, bottled and canned food, etc
Aerosol: spray liquid
10. Regulations on carrying lithium batteries
Portable electronic devices containing lithium batteries for personal use by passengers can be carried as hand luggage on board, and the rated energy value of lithium batteries must not exceed 100Wh. Equipment exceeding 100Wh but not exceeding 160Wh can be installed on delivery or hand luggage with the approval of the airline. Lithium batteries exceeding 160Wh are strictly prohibited from carrying.
The backup battery of portable electronic devices must be individually protected against short circuits and can only be carried in hand luggage. The 100-160Wh backup lithium batteries approved by the airline can only carry two.
Passengers carrying lithium battery powered wheelchairs or other similar means of transportation and portable medical electronic devices containing lithium batteries for medical purposes must carry them in accordance with relevant regulations and requirements and obtain approval from the airline. Passengers can consult with the airline in advance for assistance.
It is strictly prohibited to put lithium battery mobile power into checked baggage. Passengers are not allowed to use lithium battery mobile power to charge electronic devices during flight, and ensure that the lithium battery mobile power is always turned off.
11. Important documents and valuable items
Important documents and information, travel permits, currency, securities, jewelry, precious metals and their products, antiques, calligraphy and painting, medical emergency supplies, and other items that require special care cannot be checked in or included in luggage.
12. Alcoholic beverages
When taking civil aviation flights within China, alcoholic beverages are not allowed to be carried with you. But it can be checked as checked baggage. The packaging of alcoholic goods should comply with the relevant regulations of civil aviation transportation.
